**About the role**
In this role, you will be providing financial information, reports and analysis concerning the performance of the Directorate to promote financially sustainability.

Key responsibilities include:

- Partnering with Directors, Managers and their teams to provide financial planning and analysis.
- Financial planning, budgeting and forecasting for the directorate and organisation.
- Providing financial advice and decision analysis support for structure and service reviews, process improvements, cost management initiatives and business cases.
- Monitoring key internal and external drivers of performance and analysing the financial impact of emerging priorities, key risks and opportunities.
- Championing the use of organisational data to support decision making.
- Providing financial training including induction of finance systems, awareness and understanding of management accounting principles and processes.
- Implementing auditable accounting practices and reporting structures to the benefit of key decision makers within the City.

**About you**

Essential Experience:

- A tertiary qualification in Commerce or Accounting or related field and/or commensurate demonstrate experience in lieu of formal qualifications.
- CA or CPA professional qualification (or equivalent).
- Preparing and monitoring of annual budgets.
- Preparation of business plans for large and complex operating units.
- Demonstrated experience liaising with and influencing senior internal and external stakeholders.
