**Job Brief**

Housekeeping Team Leader responsibilities include organising employee shifts, training and motivating team members, checking rooms and public areas for cleanliness and adherence to standards. To be successful in this role, you should have a good understanding of sanitation regulations and team management abilities. Ultimately, you will help ensure our daily housekeeping operations run smoothly and that guests are satisfied. 

**Responsibilities**
- Train housekeepers on cleaning and maintenance reporting;
- Oversee staff on a daily basis;
- Check rooms and common areas for cleanliness;
- Schedule shifts and arrange for replacements in cases of absence;
- Establish and educate staff on cleanliness, tidiness and personal grooming standards;
- Motivate team members and resolve any issues that occur on the job;
- Respond to customer complaints and special requests;
- Monitor par levels of cleaning products and amenities, reporting if low;
- Participate in large cleaning projects as required;
- Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation policies in all areas.

**Requirements & Skills**
- Work experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or similar role 
- Hands-on experience with cleaning and maintenance tasks in a hotel operation 
- Ability to use industrial cleaning equipment and products 
- Excellent time and team management skills 
- Stamina to handle the physical demands of the job 
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends 

**Work Health & Safety Requirements**

All FBM employees are to take a responsible approach to WHS for themselves and others, cooperating with hotel and staff members, and by following the WHS policy and program in place. Staff must also assist in maintaining a safe workplace by:

- Using, when appropriate, all PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) supplied such as: Gloves, safety goggles, dust masks, etc.
- Following all safe work procedures.
- Not interfering with safety equipment/ procedures e.g., inappropriate use of fire extinguisher, blocking of fire exits.
- Reporting all near misses and accidents immediately to their manager.
- Notifying FBM Management and Hotel Manager of any unsafe acts or conditions.
- Taking all care of others within reason.
- To report all workplace hazards immediately e.g., incorrect moving of furniture, faulty electrical equipment, sharp edges on equipment, broken glassware or crockery or obstructed exit doors.

**Desirable Skills**
- Experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor  
- Extensive experience within Housekeeping Operations  
- Good understanding of budget requirements 
- Effective communication with people at all levels 
- Good understanding of WHS procedures 
- Excellent Time Management skills 
- Always display a positive and proactive attitude 
- Customer service focused 
- Commitment to quality and an eye for detail 
- Sense of urgency and results focused 
- Excellent standard of grooming

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.80 - $58.06 per hour
