About the role

Shining Stars Childcare is seeking an experienced and passionate Early Childhood Room Leader to join our vibrant childcare centre in Brighton-Le-Sands, NSW. As the Room Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of one of our early childhood rooms, ensuring a nurturing and engaging environment for the children in your care.

What you'll be doing

  • Developing and implementing high-quality, developmentally appropriate educational programs and activities for children aged 0-4 years
  • Supervising and mentoring a team of early childhood educators, fostering their professional growth and development
  • Maintaining a safe, clean and welcoming learning environment that supports the social, emotional, physical and cognitive needs of each child
  • Building strong partnerships with families, communicating regularly about children's progress and development
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant childcare regulations, policies and procedures
  • Collaborating with the centre management team to continuously improve the quality of care and educational experiences

What we're looking for

  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education
  • Experience (2+ years) as an early childhood educator, with a proven track record of leading a room or team
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, families and colleagues
  • Thorough knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
  • A genuine passion for early childhood education and a commitment to providing the highest quality care and learning experiences
  • A current Working with Children Check and First Aid certificate
