Part-time Community Development Officer

We are looking for a passionate and hardworking Community Development Officer to join our team at Singleton Council. In this role, you’ll make a real impact on the everyday lives of people within our community by achieving important outcomes for Singleton to grow and flourish.

**THE ROLE**

We are looking for a Community Development Officer to improve the range of services and opportunities available to the Singleton community through engagement and consultation. This includes understanding of the operations of community organisations, and the issues facing the community services sector.

You will be able to demonstrate your ability to develop and manage programs and demonstrate a high level of ability with written and oral communication skills with experience in a range of consultation techniques.

Previous local government experience will be an advantage but is not essential.

This position is a 12-month, part-time contract working 14 hours per week.

Remuneration for the position is based on Grade 8 of the salary system which equates to a base salary between $25,197 to $28,344 per year plus superannuation.
