This role will lead the design and implementation of new road maintenance contracts in metropolitan Melbourne, and work across the department to ensure the internal processes and procedures are in place to ensure overall value for money outcomes.

This role will lead the design and implementation of new road maintenance contracts in metropolitan Melbourne, and work across the department to ensure the internal processes and procedures are in place to ensure overall value for money outcomes.
**Key Selection Criteria & Accountabilities**
- **Planning and Delivery -**
- Successfully designed and implemented a robust and competitive procurement process for new progressively performance-based road maintenance contracts in metropolitan Melbourne.
- Collaborated across the Department to ensure the internal processes and procedures are in place (including data and governance arrangements) to support successful management of the regional and metropolitan road maintenance contracts.
- Collaboratively worked with the Commercial Advisory senior leadership to support the strategic planning process and delivery of departmental priorities.
- **Authoritative Advice -** High quality, authoritative strategic and operational advice provided to Ministers, the Secretary and executive leadership to support transport portfolio objectives and respond to emerging and/or complex issues.
- **Organisational and Government Change** - Led and contributed to government and organisational reforms including the assessment of the quality and effectiveness of change initiatives and organisational improvements.
- **Resource Management -** Departmental policies and governance frameworks have been complied with, budgets are met, and fit for purpose workforce plans delivered.
