Network Design and Integration works to deliver transport priorities through the development, delivery and maintenance of an integrated pipeline of projects supporting the Major Transport Infrastructure Program, plan Victoria’s rail network, supports Road Safety for Victoria and Freight for Victoria.
Road Safety Victoria is a Division within the Department of Transport and Planning, and is responsible for leading the Victorian Government to achieve Zero road fatalities by 2050.

**About the Role**
The Road Safety Strategy Officer is part of the Road Safety Strategy and Investment Planning team. This team is responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating Victoria’s road safety strategy and supplementary action plans in collaboration with the Road Safety Partnership (including Victoria Police, Transport Accident Commission, Department of Justice and Community Safety, and Department of Health). The team also provides direction and oversight of the pipeline of road safety investment and policy and program development.
The Road Safety Strategy Officer will contribute to the strategic direction of road safety in Victoria by undertaking research and analysis and preparing high quality reports to inform road safety strategy and policy options to improve safety outcomes for all Victorians.

**Position Outcomes**
The individual must have contributed to policy development and road safety initiatives by utilizing research, stakeholder advice, and evidence to inform strategic decisions, while also ensuring measurable outcomes. They must have consistently delivered high-quality reports and engaged in strong stakeholder management to foster collaboration, continuous improvement, and the successful implementation of road safety strategies and recommendations.
