Our client a National mid tier Engineering and Construction company due to exponential growth seeks an experienced Commercial Manager.

With the success of the business and multiple projects underway and tenders won a fantastic opportunity has arisen.

Key responsibilities;
- Manage and promote the Business Training of contract administration and project management commercial tools and ensure the Business Unit's training activities.
- Assist in the management of contractual and commercial disputes and where applicable the co-ordination and direction to the Business Unit's legal counsel.
- Overview and critique tender submissions for exposure to adverse terms and conditions including front end negotiations
- Assist in the preparation of subcontractor and consultant contract forms ensuring appropriate forms and commercial terms are incorporated
- Assist in the preparation and development of JV documentation and pre-bid agreements
- Provide advice and information to projects on a contractual and commercial basis including compliant contract documents, legislation to Australian or relevant Standards.

**Ancillary accountabilities;**
- Maintain the Business Unit Register of Commercial Disputation Logs
- Review Company standard upon changes in legislation
- Liaise and coordinate with other Business Unit Project and line Managers for provision of day to day advice as required
- Select and appoint legal consultants as required
- Participate in external audits in consultation with QSE Manager

**Essential Competencies;**
- Relevant Tertiary Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years experience in project / contractual engineering
