**Position Title**: Casual Tender Boat Driver & General Café Support

**Position Type**:Casual (Opportunity for 30+ hours per week during high season: October to March) **Please note this is a set WEDNESDAY mandatory shift for all stock deliveries for our cafe from the mainland to Cockatoo Island**

**Position Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
Tender Operations:

- Safely operate the café’s tender vessel between the mainland and Cockatoo Island for stock deliveries.
- Ensure all goods are transported securely and stored safely upon arrival.
- Maintain the cleanliness and readiness of the tender at all times.

General Café Maintenance:

- Support daily upkeep tasks such as gardening, cleaning, and minor repairs.
- Conduct equipment maintenance, including deep fryer oil changeovers and safe disposal.
- Perform basic manual tasks as required (lifting, moving supplies, basic handyman duties).

Café Support (Optional/As Needed):

- Assist café staff during events and busy weekends, including customer service and bar work (RSA required).
- Support in food storage, stock rotation, and general back-of-house duties as required.

Essential Criteria:

- Current boat licence (NSW - General Boat Licence or higher)
- Experience with manual handling and physical labour tasks
- Experience or understanding of safe food storage and transportation
- Valid Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) competency card (or willing to obtain)
- Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and solve problems on the go
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a positive team attitude

Desirable Attributes:

- Previous hospitality, café, or maintenance experience
- Familiarity with Cockatoo Island operations or similar marine environments
- Basic gardening or handyman skills

Work Schedule:

- Casual shifts available weekdays and weekends
- Additional hours during events and the high season (October-March), with potential for 30+ hours per week
