UMA is on the lookout for a Commercial Finance Analyst to join their tight knit Business, Planning and Analytics (BP&A) team. This is a cross functional role, reporting directly to the Senior Director of BP&A. This role will not only partner with finance, it will closely collaborate with other key departments within the business such as the Commercial and Business development team, Marketing, Music Labels, Data and Insights, Physical and Merchandising departments, and Legal/ Royalties.

About the role:
Reporting:
- Monthly update of key drivers and financials for departments within the business- Forecast and commentary on business performance- Prepare monthly strategic reporting to UMA departments- Assist team with all ad-hoc reporting requests sent by the labels or the other parts of the business

Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Build robust and achievable budgets and forecasts that reflect stakeholder inputs and market trends for several UMA departments- Provide narrative for major drivers in corporate forecast/plan revenues- Maintain rolling forecast and update key drivers monthly- Work with finance to ensure financial and commercial outcomes are aligned

Commercial/Finance Modelling- Prepare project feasibilities such as physical pricing or demand analysis- Opportunities to assist with deals appraisals for artists and provide modelling and analytics for best deal structures

About you:
- You will have at least two (2) years experience in a commercial finance role- Degree qualified in Commerce/Accounting/Economics (preferred)- Keen interest in learning the ins and outs of the music industry (bonus if you've worked in Music/Entertainment before)- Analytical mindset and able to derive insights from data- Critical thinking and comfortable with ambiguity- Experience using Microsoft Excel: strong- Experience using Microsoft PowerPoint: medium
- strong- Exposure to analytics tools such as Domo desirable- Great communicator and solid stakeholder management skills- Strong attention to detail- Team player with the ability to work independently when needed
