**The Role**
The Access and Participation Branch is seeking people with strong stakeholder engagement and program management experience including the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This role will suit people who thrive when given autonomy and responsibility within a highly supportive, friendly, motivated and collaborative team environment.
The Branch’s roles include managing operational policy, implementing changes, guidelines, performance reporting and program assurance activities in relation to participant eligibility, referrals, and transfers, and for the operation and design of participant assessment and activation, participation, mutual obligation requirements, including the Points Based Activation System, and the Targeted Compliance Framework.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
Responsibilities of the Assistant Director may include:
- Fostering a positive performance culture by coaching and mentoring staff and supporting career development.
- Stakeholder engagement, including ability to build and maintain productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Program management, including setting program monitoring and assurance projects.
- Analysing and interpreting data to identify trends and issues, including risk identification and remedial action.
- Writing a range of complex materials for varied audiences including talking points, policy papers, briefings, guidance material, Ministerial and provider correspondence and a range of communication material.?
- Contributing to policy options to support the Government’s response to the House Select Committee Inquiry into Workforce Australia Employment Services.
- The flexibility to adapt to changing work requirements and an ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment.
