**The Role**
As the Safety Manager (Network), you will partner with the senior leadership team to identify, develop, and implement safety initiatives and compliance activities that enhance safety capability, capacity and performance to ensure the people, communities and business are protected.

Critical strategic responsibilities will include:

- Strategic safety initiatives, in line with the company's safety vision and goals
- Identify key business challenges/opportunities and collaborate with corporate partners to design and deliver enterprise solutions
- Identify and execute specific improvement and innovation initiatives
- Support the safety team to create a high-performance culture by supporting values, meeting performance standards, translating strategy into goals and ensuring success through regular engagement, coaching and development of people capability

By being an active presence in the regions you will be able to:

- Provide counsel to the relevant stakeholders and your Safety team on what is working well & emerging safety concerns.
- Be a trusted peer that coordinates safety priorities and initiatives (including analysis and interpretation of safety data/trends).
- Provide safety leadership, expertise and coaching to the Network team to uplift safety capability to support our operational leaders.
- Ensure that all activities comply with appropriate safety statutory, regulatory and contractual obligations and company policies, working closely with relevant corporate specialists.
- Monitor and review the effectiveness of safety policies, programs and processes using agreed measures and provide feedback for improvements to policy/process owners.

**Your experience**
We are looking for a warm, compassionate leader that can coach and empower their team to support the Network to exceed their safety skills and goals. A leader that will invest the time in their development and provide them with strategic direction in a deliverable manner.

As the Manager Safety (Network) you will have
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in a Safety discipline (preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in Safety disciplines or through demonstrated line leadership experience delivering safety outcomes.
- Experience in translating enterprise strategies into business initiatives that deliver sustainable results.
- Previous experience successfully working in a critical risk environment
- Experience in supportively managing small to medium teams
- Location : Brisbane or MacKay or Rockhampton
