**What you'll do**:
provide authoritative and strategic advice in the domain of work, health and safety to the Director, executives, managers and employees within a multifaceted state-wide health care setting. Coordinate a team to develop and implement the Health and Safety Management System for the Department of Health divisions.
develop and execute strategies to embed a safety culture across the Department of Health by strengthening business partnerships and liaising with shared duty holders across the state.
About you
**We are searching for someone who has**:
High level ability to successfully lead work health and safety programs of work to achieve a measurable and enduring impact on organisational performance while ensuring compliance with legislation and other requirements.
Record of achievement in providing high-level advisory and support services to senior stakeholders on safety systems and strategy including legislative frameworks, policy issues and developments, trends and emerging issues.
Proven conceptual, analytical and innovative problem-solving skills that results in client focused solutions, including experience in the implementation of embedded safety management systems.
Highly developed management skills in leading a team to achieve a positive safety culture with enduring demonstrated outcomes.
High level consulting, business partnering and communication skills which are conducive to positively influencing others in a complex environment of performance accountability.
Contemporary, professional knowledge in health and safety management systems, risk management, safety assurance and corporate performance management capability, including the ability to analyse, interpret and report on data.
