**About the Role**

Join our team as an Accounts Officer in a part time ongoing position, working in Finance based at Scoresby. Primarily this is a Pathology Billing service role. You will be doing account receivable and accounts payable for patients, health insurers, billing agents, external laboratories, and internal departments. Your tasks will include:

- Ensuring request detail are correct prior to the raising of accounts.
- Ensuring account detail are correct prior to the generation of invoices.
- Ensuring that invoices are managed in accordance with protocols.
- Ensuring that billing corrections are carried out in a timely and accurate manner.
- Addressing enquiries from patients, health insurers, billing agents, external laboratories, and internal departments.
- Other administrative tasks as required

You may be required to work at any of the Monash Health Sites.

**About Us**

The Monash Health Pathology Service operates under the brand name of Monash Health Pathology and is an integral part of Monash Health. It is one of the largest providers of Pathology services in the state and currently operates 5 laboratories. The largest of these is located at the Monash Medical Centre, Clayton, with additional facilities being located at the Dandenong, Moorabbin, Casey, and Wonthaggi Hospitals. There are currently 18 collections based within the hospital sites and community settings.

**About You**

To ensure your success in this role you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience, and knowledge.

**Required Skills**:

- Experience with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable services
- Competency with Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel

**_Desirable_**:

- Prior Experience with Pathology Billing systems
- An understanding of the Commonwealth Medicare Benefits Schedule
