The Salvation Army Australia’s Homelessness Stream provides high quality, person-centred services to people at risk, and or experiencing homelessness. We support all cohorts in case management, outreach support, financial assistance, connection and referral to other specialist services.

We are seeking a values-driven and dedicated Support Worker reporting to the Team Leader. You will provide support to people, who present for assistance, in a community based and/or residential based setting.

This is a casual position based at Still Waters, Ashmore City.

You will successfully
- Establish relationships with individuals that access our service encouraging self-determination and participation
- Support the strategies developed within the individual case management plan in line with TSA practices
- Collaborate with individuals including a range of interventions that address the needs and goals
- Complete thorough assessment, inclusive of needs, risks and vulnerabilities
- Support ongoing assessment of individuals, presenting issues, vulnerabilities and needs from initial intake and exit
- Maintain up to date client records and data using TSA information systems

You will have
- Tertiary qualifications within Community Services, Social Work, or similar discipline, with a minimum of Diploma qualifications
- Desirable to have relevant experience in a social service environment (e.g. homelessness)
- A valid QLD Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
- First Aid Certificate and CPR
- A Driver’s Licence
- Ability to work night/ weekend and sleepover shifts
- A willingness to undergo a National Police check
