- Our major sites include University Hospital Geelong in Geelong’s CBD, the McKellar Centre precinct in North Geelong, Barwon Health North in Norlane, and residential aged care facilities spanning the region. Comprehensive mental health, community health and dental services are delivered through various programs across the Barwon South West Region, including Torquay and Colac.**About Eating Disorder Service**
- The Barwon Health Eating Disorder Service is a specialist multidisciplinary team providing assessment and treatment to young people (0-25 years) and their families presenting with an eating disorder, or at risk of an eating disorder. The service is a leader in the delivery of evidence-based treatments for eating disorders and collaborative models of care including Family Based Treatment (FBT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy
- Enhanced (CBT-E), Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT), Multi-family Therapy (MFT), and Motivational Interviewing. There is a strong focus on secondary consultation to the broader service, public and private sectors.- In the 2024-2025 State Budget, the Victorian Government announced $31 million of new funding for eating disorders prevention, treatment and care. Barwon Health have fortunately received three-year funding to establish a new regional Eating Disorders Day Program (EDDP), to provide an effective and accessible community-based treatment option for young people and adults living with eating disorders in the Barwon region.- The EDDP will be part of the Mental Health Drugs and Alcohol Service, Eating Disorder Service (EDS). This position, alongside the EDS Manager, will lead the development and implementation of the EDDP in its initial phase.**About You**- Experience in a child and adolescent mental health setting
High level clinical skills related to the assessment and management of children and young people experiencing eating disorders
Specialist training in assessment and evidence-based treatments for eating disorders
Sound conceptual knowledge of the principles of service integration and shared care
Experience working with individuals with eating disorders and their families
Current Victorian driver’s licence

**About the role**
- In collaboration with the EDS manager, lived experience team members, consumer and carer input you will support the development of the model of care for the Eating Disorder Day Program.-
- Identify treatment approaches that benefit people with eating disorders in a day program setting
Build and maintain working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
Effectively communicate and facilitate referral pathways to the program
