**The opportunity**

Our client is a community focused federal government agency. They have an exciting opportunity available for a APS5 level Project Officer to join their Operations & Housing Support branch.

12-month initial contract with opportunity for extension. Expected hourly rates of $53.63 per hour + Superannuation, with the option to be based out of **Richmond or Geelong.**

**Hybrid working environment**, consisting of two days working from home, with the remaining 3 on site each week.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Assisting in project management and coordination activities, monitoring and reviewing program and project activities against plans.
- Contributing to the development and management of project plans and schedules in accordance with the Agency's project management framework.
- Providing advice, procedural guidance and technical expertise in specific areas of project work.
- Performing research work and analysis including contributing to the preparation of reports on relevant project activities.
- Contributing to regular project reporting including status updates and exception reports.
- Drafting a range of written material including business cases, plans, executive briefs and corporate documentation for review.
- Assisting with monitoring project budgets, review and report on expenditure and assist with procurement and contract management.
- Assisting with the identification and management of project risks, issues and benefits.
- Assisting with project quality management to ensure that project deliverables are fit for purpose and meet client needs.
- Collaborating with team members to achieve program, project and business outcomes.

**About you**
- Providing sound advice to stakeholders regarding recruitment related issues and queries.
- Working collaboratively with stakeholders to support recruitment processes.
- Resolving problems using knowledge and experience and taking the initiative to identify alternative courses of action.
- Management of BULK Recruitment Scheduling Process
- Provide efficient and effective workforce data analysis and reporting.
- Advanced Excel skills
- Proven HR Workforce Analyst Experience
- You must be an **Australian Citizen** to work for this Government client
