Facilities and Maintenance Technician

Bruce Rock Engineering is looking for an experienced **Facilities and Maintenance Technician** to join our maintenance team in Forrestfield. In this role, you will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of manufacturing equipment and facility infrastructure.

Your technical expertise and hands-on approach will be essential for troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Additionally, you will play a key role in implementing preventative measures to reduce downtime and enhance overall efficiency. This position is:

- Full Time Permanent
- Monday to Friday local role
- Penalties paid on overtime, including weekends and on-call
- Free Parking on site
- ASAP Start

**Key responsibilities for this role include**:
**Equipment Maintenance & Repair -**Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Perform maintenance on manufacturing equipment tools and machinery.

**Facility Maintenance -**Maintain building infrastructure, including lighting, plumbing, HVAC, and safety systems. Conduct minor repairs on office spaces, restrooms and common areas.

**Preventative Maintenance -**Conduct routine inspections and maintenance to prevent equipment failures and extend assetlife**.**Identify potential equipment failures and take proactive steps to minimize downtime.

**Compliance & Safety -**Ensure all work is done according to health, safety, and environmentalregulations. Conduct safety checks on fire alarms, emergency exists and ventilation systems.

**Emergency Repairs -**Respond quickly to urgent maintenance issues that could impact production. Diagnose and resolve unexpected mechanical or electrical failures efficiently.

**Inventory & Documentation -**Maintain records of repairs, parts inventory, and service schedules. Order necessary parts and equipment for repairs and servicing.

**About you**:

- Mechanical and/or Electrical Trade qualification.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in machine maintenance and facility upkeep in a manufacturing environment.
- Current Driver’s License
- High Risk Work License with Classes WP & LF & DG.
- First Aid Certificate.
- Sound knowledge of mechanical electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, diagnostic equipment and maintenance.
- Ability to read and follow instructions, understand work schedules and complete simple written reports.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work autonomously or as part of team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Manufacturing plant or industrial facility setting (advantage)
