To continue our success, we currently have an exciting opportunity for a **Lab Technician** to join our **Quaker Oats**team.
This role consists of analysing oat production samples against product specifications, release compliant product to market and support the quality team.
**Details**:
- Location: Forrestfield (WA)
- On the job training for first 2-4 weeks
- Training: Day Shift (Monday to Friday 6am to 2pm)
- Rotating roster after training completed: Week 1: 2pm - 10pm / Week2: 10pm - 6am
- Monday to Friday
- Position: Permanent Full Time

**Responsibilities**
- Collect samples to perform sensory evaluation, compliance testing and sample analysis
- Action out of specification results for any noncomplying product as per procedure.
- Check all calibrations and maintenance associated with analytical equipment - in-line, laboratory, and production areas in accordance with Quality Dept requirements
- Perform Quality audits and Safety inspections to ensure adherence to FSSC and AIBI standards.
- Actively engage with internal stakeholders to perform troubleshooting exercises to prevent any non-compliance. Manage Laboratory waste and systems
- Comply with all PepsiCo Policies to ensure the highest quality of food is produced
**Qualifications**
- Qualifications in Food Science and technology and/or Certificate in Laboratory Techniques is desired but not essential.
- Previous experience in a food manufacturing or a laboratory environment (particularly in grain industry) is desirable but not essential
- Ability to communicate, with strong attention to detail and excellent time maangement skills
- Advanced computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel
