**THE OPPORTUNITY**
We are looking for a dedicated Control Systems Technician to join our Technology Integration Solutions team on a permanent basis, based at our Welshpool facility.

**WHAT YOU’LL DO**

As a Control Systems Technician, your skills and experience using electrical, automation, control systems and electronics will help drive that advantage. The purpose of our technician’s role is to design, build, implement, and commission a range of control and monitoring systems and related technology for our clients.
**WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR**
Along with a strong service-oriented mindset and ability to manage competing deadlines, you will have:
- Ability to engineer electrical/electronic solutions across multiple industries
- A sense of good design in relation to elements for electrical enclosures and boards
- Advanced skills in interpreting electrical drawings (415V etc.) and P&ID drawings
- Moderate level control systems hardware, testing, fault finding and programming skills
- Strong drafting skills or working towards this level
- Some fundamental understanding of industrial networking and bus systems
- Skills in specialist engineering with respect to hazardous areas electronic design techniques, IS assessments, hardware selection and safety solutions or enthusiasm to learn
- Outstanding time management, organisation and small project management
- A track record of ensuring our final solutions are of high quality and robust, suited for the environment for which it is designed while being manufactured to be cost effective and profitable
- Willingness and enthusiasm for a blend of office, workshop and site commissioning work
**EDUCATION**
- Electrical or Electronic trade certificate
- Diploma, Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering; OR working towards one of these
- Project Management qualification - advantageous but not mandatory
- 5 years plus experience in industrial, manufacturing, mining and power distribution sectors
- EEHA Training (Electrical Equipment for Hazardous Areas) or willingness to undertake
