Western Work Force is seeking a trade-qualified Service Technician to join the workshop team in a dynamic company located in Welshpool, Perth.

In this role, you'll service and maintain heavy equipment, perform planned maintenance and safety inspections, diagnose and repair faults, commission new machinery, modify equipment to meet customer needs, and contribute to a safety-focused, high-quality workshop.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Servicing and maintaining heavy equipment (7+ tonne) across premium brands like Caterpillar Lift Trucks, Konecranes, and Haulotte
  • Performing planned maintenance (PMPs), safety inspections, and overhauls
  • Diagnosing mechanical faults and carrying out quality repairs
  • Conducting system diagnostics and commissioning of new machinery
  • Modifying equipment to meet client-specific requirements
  • Supporting a safety-first, high-quality workshop environment

About You:

  • Cert III in Automotive (Mobile Plant or Heavy Diesel)
  • Strong mechanical background with experience on heavy diesel or large-scale equipment
  • Confident diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues
  • Exposure to hydraulic and electrical systems – highly regarded
  • Previous experience in material handling equipment – a bonus
  • A team player with the ability to also work independently and take initiative
