We're seeking a highly skilled manager and clinician to lead our dedicated team and ensure high-quality, compliant, and impactful student support services.

You will play a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing the personal and social adjustment of our diverse student body, leading both remote and local teams. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to strategic projects and build mental health literacy across our campuses.

In this vital role, you will:

- Lead the effective delivery of counselling, disabilities, and welfare services for students, ensuring high-quality services and compliance with all applicable regulatory guidelines and laws.
- Provide line management and clinical supervision to our talented team of Student Support Advisors, Counsellors, and Student Counsellors on placement.
- Drive and contribute to strategic projects and resource development aimed at enhancing students’ personal and social adjustment to higher education.
- Provide expert consultation and training to staff, fostering mental health literacy, effective support for students with disabilities, and an inclusive campus culture.
- Oversee the meticulous maintenance and regular reporting of confidential client and student data.
- Provide leadership and expert consultation for critical incidents and urgent, complex student presentations.

**Qualifications**
Essential:

- A higher education qualification in counselling, social work, or psychology at Masters level or above.
- Professional level membership of a relevant professional association or board (e.g., PACFA register, AASW, or AHPRA).
- Demonstrated experience in a management role within a relevant service.
- Proven effectiveness in providing services to clients from diverse social and cultural backgrounds, addressing a broad range of issues, including complex and high-risk presentations.
- Demonstrated experience and training as a clinical supervisor of students.
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of relevant legislative, ethical, and practice requirements for the provision of counselling and disabilities services in a higher education setting (e.g., confidentiality, privacy, anti-discrimination, mandatory reporting, reasonable adjustments).
- Demonstrated high standard of competence in responding to urgent mental health presentations, triage, case management, and liaison/advice regarding appropriate mental health first aid.
- Highly developed interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Desirable:

- Experience in support and advisory services within a higher education setting.
- Clinical Supervision qualifications or registration.
