**The Role**
This is a permanent opportunity working as a Compliance Analyst, which is part of the Firm's Information Barrier Team (currently falling within the responsibility of the Office of General Counsel), and which is primarily responsible for the implementation and management of information barriers, and provides some back-up support to the Office of General Counsel in respect of a range of risk related enquiries and issues.
In this role, some of your responsibilities will include:
- establishing, administering and managing information barriers
- maintaining accurate compliance records of, including drafting and distributing information barrier protocols as necessary
- supporting the Firm's internal procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- liaising with internal stakeholders to obtain and interpret confidential information and to manage conflicts
- managing probity matters and conducting relevant audits as required
- conducting a variety of internal audits regarding information barriers and access to matter folders
- escalating high risk reviews and other queries to a Senior Risk and Compliance Adviser as appropriate
- responding to a range of general queries received by the Information Barrier Team
- supporting the Firm with the implementation, maintenance and improvement of the Firm’s risk management framework and policies
- carrying out anti-money laundering and sanctions checks as requested
- building a good rapport with colleagues and delivering excellent customer service to our stakeholders
- from time to time, participating in project related tasks which support the Firm's risk management program of work
**More About You**
Ideally, you will have prior experience in a compliance or risk related role, or have at least 2 years' experience in an administrative role and would like an opportunity to consider an alternative career in the profession. You will also:
- knowledge or experience for conflict checks and/or Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Client (KYC) processes (desirable but not a pre-requisite)
- have a strong ethical mindset and demonstrate integrity in handling sensitive information
- have strong attention to detail and effective analytical skills
- have strong organisational and prioritisation skills
- have the ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including good written and verbal communication skills
- have the ability to work collaboratively within a team and build relationships
- proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel
- be familiar with conflict searching requirements and processes (desirable but not a pre-requisite)
