We have a new Technical Delivery Manager (TDM) in the newly established Technology Foundation squad. Reporting to the Practice Lead - Head of Software Engineering.

The TDM will be responsible for managing technical outcomes and hatting as the squad's Product Owner, delivering foundation capabilities across Zurich's Australia technology landscape. It’s crucial to have solution delivery experience from dev all the way to production. In other words, tech DMs are software engineers who enable the team to work with quality.
- Lead a delivery team of developers & testers, providing technical guidance, mentoring, and ensuring best practices are followed.
- Design and develop high-quality solutions across technical stacks. Collaborate with product owners, architects, and other stakeholders to define and prioritise epics with a keen focus on technical debt.
- Drive the architecture and technical direction of the software, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
- Responsible to ensure high automation standards are created & followed on the squads
- Oversee code reviews, ensuring code quality, adherence to coding standards and automation targets
- Leads the delivery squad towards self-organization and continuous improvement to produce
- Building high performance culture and coaching squad team towards high performance and autonomy

In order to be successful, you will require the following:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Multiple years of hands-on software development experience in multiple technology stack including frontend, backend, and cloud providers.
- Proven experience in leading and mentoring development teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
- Experience with cloud-based technologies and services
- Experience & knowledge about CI/CD pipelines & delivery
- Familiarity with insurance software or financial systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD
