**Responsibilities**:
The Institute of Teacher Aide Courses is Australia's largest provider of School Based Education Support courses, enrolling approximately 5000 students per year. ITAC is the go-to provider for accredited teacher assistant courses and has links with thousands of schools. The average age of an ITAC student is 37. We deliver the following qualifications:

- CHC30221 Certificate III in School Based Education Support
- CHC40221 Certificate IV in School Based Education Support

ITAC is seeking an experienced primary teacher, high school teacher or support worker (teacher aide, teacher assistant, SSO, learning assistant etc.) for the role of trainer and assessor. This position mainly involves visiting students in schools around the Melbourne metro area (work placements), marking assessments (online) and responding to student academic enquiries.

**This is a part-time role and the expected hours are 8 am to 4 pm at least three days per week. We will consider applicants seeking four or five days.**

- No adult teaching experience required.
- at least seven years of full-time equivalent experience in at least two Australian schools
- a relevant qualification, e.g. BA Education, Cert IV Education Support or early childhood diploma
- hold or be willing to complete the TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (a legal requirement even for qualified teachers)
- reside in the greater Melbourne area to easily travel to schools in the area each day.
- COVID vaccinated, WWCC and highly fluent English language skills.
