**About the position**
The position plays a pivotal role within the Marketing team to develop and execute high level professional events and manage and leverage corporate sponsorships that align with the strategic and operational objectives of The Perth Mint.
**Duties & responsibilities**
- Develop and coordinate the annual calendar of community events.
- Manage and leverage corporate sponsorships for the business to drive a positive marketing outcome.
- Event and sponsorship budget management.
- Confidently liaise with event suppliers and sponsored organisations.
- Develop deliverables for each event, including but not limited to booth messaging and artwork, competitions and giveaways, risk and legal processes, and event artillery such as comprehensive run sheets.
- Pre-event communications to ensure stakeholders and any volunteers are across the final plan.
- Post event reporting to review the results of the event upon conclusion.
- Maintain compliance of policies and procedures in relation to hosting events on and offsite.
- Assist to develop and execute the corporate gifting and sponsorship strategy in line with business objectives.
- Liaise with and provide donations to approved Western Australian charities in-line with the overarching sponsorship strategy.
**Experience**
- Degree in Marketing or Communications
- Minimum 3-4 years’ experience as an event planner or sponsorships manager
- Strong organisational skills, including the ability to manage and prioritise a wide range of tasks while under pressure to ensure deadlines and milestones are met
- Exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to consult, communicate and problem solve effectively under pressure
- The ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team
- Self-motivated and energetic with a can-do attitude
- Critical thinker with strong attention to detail
- High-level experience with Microsoft Excel

As one of The Perth Mint’s Events Coordinators you will lead the planning, delivery and execution of a broad range of community-led initiatives, as well as networking functions and launches. With experience in implementing an annual event strategy and managing corporate sponsorships you will have the drive, agility, organisational skills and attention to detail to continue positioning the Mint as an unassailable domestic and global brand.
- Bachelor of Arts, Public/Social Policy, Politics, Journalism or Public Relations.
- Previous roles in local, State and/or Federal government, parliamentary, political systems and processes.
- Experience in government relations or external affairs
