Who you are
Are you looking for your next leadership role? You are a confident leader with a passion for sustainability and are determined to make a difference. You will be a hands-on leader who can motivate and lead your team of dedicated co-workers as you drive cost-preventive actions, along with effective ways of maximising profit. You are customer-centric and results driven, with an ability to work within a frame of well-defined goals. Your knowledge, skills and experience will include knowledge of the process and functions within IKEA retail, and knowledge of the IKEA product range. You are capable of working on several tasks at same time and have previous retail or operations experience. As our store trades 7 days a week, you have the ability to work a rotating roster which includes early mornings, late nights and weekends.
**Responsibilities**:
As Product Recovery & Quality Manager, your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Lead the team with a focus on putting the customer first in everything you do within the store.
- Co-operate across functions to ensure everyone understands and contributes to the Product Recovery, Quality & Compliance process.
- Set goals, measurements for Product Recovery, Quality & Compliance (PQR&C) and constantly strive for improving the ability of the store to perform daily tasks in accordance with set rules and guidelines
- Lead, coach and manage co-workers to secure competence development and succession planning.
- Responsible for leading the Product Recovery, Quality and Compliance processes in the store and ensuring that the team takes the correct actions as per IKEA Australia working methods in a timely matter.
- Present IKEA products in As-Is using a strong commercial expression, selling these products with pride and setting relevant prices that are attractive to customers yet still generate the best results for the store.
- Secure sustainable ways of working throughout the whole Product Recovery, Quality & Compliance process.
About this work area
The Recovery department is a vital link in the success of the business working to recover costs by minimising internal damages through repacking, building and selling both damaged goods and customer returns. As the busy hub of every IKEA store, this is a fantastic opportunity to lead a department deeply invested within commercial internal processes and our product range. Championing sustainability and quality, this department will allow you to sink your teeth into some complex problem solving.
