**The role**
We have a newly created, permanent role for an experienced **Promotions Effectiveness Manager **. Our office is based in Bella Vista, NSW and we work flexibly in a hybrid home/office model.

In this key role, you will partner with both our Commercial and Data and Analytics teams and work with robust data sets to analyse and interpret data to identify trends and make recommendations for Big W promotional planning.

The person in this role needs to be comfortable working both autonomously with little supervision, as well as confidently engaging and presenting with senior leaders across the business.

This newly created role is an exciting opportunity for the right person to come in and drive change and make this role their own.

**Key responsibilities**
- Drives key strategic initiatives by working closely with marketing + online teams to ensure adequate representation of Value exists on customer plan
- Works closely with Commercial and Pricing teams to build promo and analytical capability
- Directly responsible for improvements in promotional effectiveness and funding
- Partners closely with Retail Analytics to design, build and implement improved promotional insights and tools to support commercial decision making
- Review customer plan / upcoming promotions and offer suggestions/improvements to improve promotional effectiveness
- Co-create promotional strategies with Commercial and Pricing during range reviews and supplier negotiations
- Supports improvements to markdown optimisation and clearance plans
- Improves promotional planning process by providing consistent insights at the point of promotional slotting
- Supports in-store space and brochure page allocation by providing detailed insights into performance
- Drive continuous improvement of business performance by enhancing existing PIR reporting and insights in line with evolving customer behaviour

**Skills and experience**
- 3+ years of experience in a Commercial, Consulting and/or Retail (Buying, Pricing, Replenishment Planning) or analyst-style role
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate and present in a meaningful way
- Advanced skills in Excel
- Strong stakeholder management and partnering skills
- Process improvement mindset and change management experience
- Experience working with SQL, GCP and or Tableau is highly desirable
