We are looking for a motivated, eager, and hard-working groundsman to join our BIG4 Breeze Holiday Parks - Port Elliot as a Caravan Park Caretaker.

Industry experience is ideal but not a pre-requisite as we are more than willing to provide training to develop the required skills needed from a caretaker for those with the right attitude.

The job is a great opportunity and possible stepping stone to further promotions within the company, with the Company operating 14 Holiday Parks throughout Australia.

**Job Requirements**

You will be required to assist the current park managers with the day-to-day management and operations of the caravan park.

**Responsibilities and Requirements**:

- Stripping of beds and preparing cabins for cleaning.
- Clean and maintain laundry, amenities, and camp kitchen areas several times daily during peak tourist season.
- Other cleaning/housekeeping assistance as required.
- General gardening and grounds care: including mowing, brush cutting, lawn edging, weeding, pruning, weed spraying, tidying, and pest & disease control.
- Will be required to work in the Front Office doing receptionist duties.
- Attend to regular and basic mowing and maintenance of lawns and gardens and ensure they are watered, and hoses and sprinklers are removed when not in use.
- Development of landscaping and upgrading of general park facilities as required.
- Equipment maintenance, including plant, and power tools.
- Minor construction of park buildings, cabins and caravans’ maintenance as required.

**Qualities of this person**:

- Responsive to customer's needs with excellent problem solving ability.
- Motivation & management of staff.
- Strong practical skills in landscaping, property & facilities maintenance.
- Experience with general gardening, plant care and grounds construction is essential.
- Excellent organisation & time management skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate well with all staff, residents, and suppliers.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Must have your own Caravan to live on-site or your own local accommodation.

**Please note you must either have your own caravan to live on-site or live locally to the Park to be successful for this position.**

**This is a single Caretaker position but there is Part-time Reception/Housekeeping hours available if apart of a couple/team.**

**Salary**: From $57,500.00 per year
