**Description**:
About you
We are looking for someone who can help us deliver high levels of client satisfaction and who can demonstrate actions that will reflect the values that Argyle Housing places on its people, teamwork, and our commitment to superior customer service.
The objective of the Housing Access Specialist role is to undertake the intake, assessment, and approval process for applicants on the waitlist and transition them from the Social Housing Register to Argyle Housing.
All roles within Argyle Housing are to be performed under the principle of “One Argyle” and with a commitment to client service delivery fostering the approach of ‘no wrong door’.
**Skills and Experiences**:
**This role will be responsible for**:
Assess the eligibility of applicants in relation to income, suitability, support requirements and other criteria (including reviewing former tenant categorisation).
Coordinate and undertake interviews with applicants to determine their suitability and support needs at time of offer.
Advertise all affordable housing vacancies in accordance with agency policies with Assistance from Communications Manager.
Complete contractual paperwork, including drafting lease agreements and coordinating lease signups.
**Selection criteria/Essential skills**:
Cert IV in Social Housing (desirable)
Up to date knowledge of relevant tenancy and housing legislation
Knowledge of social housing policies and procedures
Sound understanding of social and community issues impacting on social and affordable housing clients
Sensitivity and understanding of cultural and socio-economic characteristics
Current driver’s licence
