The Video Producer contributes to developing high-quality creative content across the Department of Health. Reporting to and working closely with the Video Production Lead, the Video Producer role is a key member of the Creative Services Team. The Video Producer will create and develop high-quality video and photographic content for customer stories, internal communications, external social videos, marketing videos, social media, recruiting videos, corporate training and other department-wide projects.They ensure that all creative content is clear, engaging, timely, and aligned with the department's digital strategy and strategic plan.They deliver multiple priority projects concurrently, working closely with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers to support the delivery of wider communications and stakeholder engagement objectives.As appropriate, they may also be required to provide surge support to ensure the Branch can deliver effective media and communications services during emergency, crisis and peak periods.
**Accountabilities**:
**Some responsibilities include but not limited to**:
- Working within the video team to plan and produce video and photographic projects and ensure they are in line with the Department of Health strategies.
- Scoping, planning, developing and managing production of departmental digital media outputs, including video, graphics and photography, undertaking local and regional travel as required.
- Assisting in the creation and refinement of scripts, project concepts, and other materials.
- Collaborating with stakeholders (internal and external) and work with other members of the branch to ensure the delivery of seamless and professional communications services for all areas of the department.
- Contributing to continuous improvement to increase efficiency and effectiveness of the Communications and Engagement Branch.
- Producing and developing engaging video content for use across department social media and digital channels in accordance with the content strategy and editorial plan.
- Supporting the implementation of strategies and guidelines to establish best-practice, build engagement and inclusion, regularly report and measure performance and manage risk.
- Keeping accurate and complete records of your work activities in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's records, information security and privacy policies and requirements.
- Taking reasonable care for your own health and safety and for that of others in the workplace by working in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's occupational health and safety (OHS) policies and procedures.
- Demonstrating how the actions and outcomes of this role and work unit impact clients and the department's ability to deliver, or facilitate the delivery of, effective support and services.
