After more than 35 years operating as a successful uranium mine, the Ranger Project is entering its rehabilitation stage and offers an exciting opportunity for you to make a positive impact on the environment.

ERA has engaged the global engineering firm, Bechtel, to support ERA as Delivery Partner for ongoing study work.

Bechtel will be working alongside ERA and major stakeholder Rio Tinto to restore the land to the status of its surrounding World Heritage listed Kakadu National Park. A collaborative project, this project will be developed in consultation with the Mirarr Traditional Owners and will benefit the Jabiru community.

Located 8 km east of Jabiru and 260 km south-east of Darwin, the Ranger Project will lead the way in the fast-growing area of mining closures.

**Position Summary**

An exciting opportunity currently exists for a **Supervisor (Electrical) **to join Bechtel’s Mining & Metals ERA Project team on a FIFO assignment based out of **Jabiru, Northern Territory.**

Your role will involve overseeing contractors, undertaking multi-discipline works including Electrical installations, temporary power installations.

This is a fly in/fly out roster (2 weeks on, 1 week off) out of Darwin - with a drive to the Jabiru work site, and camp accommodation provided.

Supervising and directing the Electrical contractors and subcontractors, and other workers assigned to your area, you will be responsible for the daily management of construction, site administration, and undertaking overview and control of all safety, quality, progress, schedule and cost controls.

**Key Responsibilities (include but may not be limited to)**:

- Provide leadership for safety on the project. This includes safety orientation, preparation of safety procedures and leading Bechtel and subcontractor safety meetings.
- Inspect the site for any unsafe conditions and practices and take appropriate corrective action to correct breaches.
- Champion the cause of ZERO Accident Philosophy. Ensure that Bechtel and local/national safety codes, requirements and standards are being complied with within assigned area of responsibility.
- Supervise and direct contractor(s) in a supervisor capacity within the Electrical disciplines.
- Ensure the most current design documents are provided to subcontractors to complete work, and that all design changes are approved prior to implementation.
- Monitor the activities of subcontractors to ensure compliance with specifications and schedules.
- Prepares or oversees the preparation of discipline estimates and work plan in accordance with project scope, schedule and budget, and supports implementation and assists with performance reporting
- Leads the design, development, modification and evaluation of components and processes used in the generation, manipulation, transmission and storage of electricity utilizing relevant Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), design standards and guides, and Bechtel Standard Application Programs (BSAPs).
- Communicates complex technical issues and recommends solutions to upper management.
- Develops conceptual designs for electrical projects having specialized or unique requirements.
- Prepares or oversees the preparation of discipline estimates and work plan in accordance with project scope, schedule and budget, and supports implementation and assists with performance reporting.
- Interprets new or special regulations, codes, standards, criteria and performance data.
- Coordinates with client representatives, as directed, to obtain their approval of electrical aspects of the work.
