Workplace Advisor opportunity
You will be working for a leading logistics company based in Perth.
This role works within a highly unionised environment where you will provide expert advice and support to management on all aspects of employee relations.
- You will be providing specialist workplace relations and policy advice to the site leadership group
- Developing a strong understanding of Enterprise Agreements and their provisions to help drive the efficiency of the operation and the ability to implement change
- Managing a high-volume complex case load of workplace grievances, disputation, breaches of operational procedures, misconduct, and other issues
- Preparation of submissions and advocacy before the Fair Work Commission and other relevant tribunals/courts
- Providing guidance and recommendations on diverse employee relations issues to minimise risk and financial exposure
- Supporting management and regularly contributing to the resolution of formal/informal disputes with staff and unions
What you need to succeed
- Relevant tertiary qualification in industrial relations, law or a related field
- Demonstrated experience in a highly unionised blue collar environment
- The ability to manage a range of competing complex IR matters, prioritising to meet deadlines and team objectives
- Conducting Workplace investigations in accordance with relevant legislation and polices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide effective advice and solutions
