**About the role**:
Reporting to our HSE Manager, a fantastic opportunity is on offer for you to join us and deliver support to the Lytton Refinery. The role will lead and control the delivery of environmental stewardship for the manufacturing business and the key functions includes managing compliance requirement, regulatory reporting, managing improvement strategies and an overall site environmental performance.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Provide SME advice and support as required to the organisation in relation to environmental management and compliance
- Influence key stakeholders to improve and embed safe operating and management practices
- Drive continual improvement and innovative initiatives to improve environment outcomes
- Maintain certifications, not limited to ISO 14001
- Main accurate and current knowledge of the relevant legislation and keeping abreast of any regulatory reform.
- Steward relevant environmental elements of the Ampol Operational Excellence framework

**About you**:
You demonstrate proven skills and experience in a similar role preferably minimum of 5-7 years and are passionate in delivering environmental excellence.You have a desire in driving continuous improvement initiatives and ability to build rapport and influence key stakeholders on effective solutions.

**Key skills and experience**:

- Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role
- Tertiary qualification/degree in environment engineering or science or related discipline
- Experience in regulatory engagement and associated stakeholder management activities
- Subject matter expertise in deploying environmental strategies and improvement plans
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Experience in managing a small team
