**The Role**:
We are seeking qualified Support Workers in Melbourne who will excel in caring for both young individuals and adults living with physical and intellectual disabilities with carrying support needs to enhance physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development.

You will be responsible for providing support to our participants, this ranges from support within in-home, day to day activities, and accessing the community.

**As a Disability Support Worker, you will**:

- Support clients to identify and achieve goals
- Maximise independence and confidence through enabling clients to access the community
- Implement unique behaviour support plans
- Implement routines and structures through positive role modelling
- Collaborate with team members
- Build effective relationships with clients and their families and carers

**Must Haves**:

- Minimum of Cert 3 in Aged Care/ Disability/ HACC/ Individual Support OR O/S Nurse/ Doctors OR Currently pursuing Bachelors/ Diploma of Nursing with at least 1 completed placements
- Current Australian Drivers License
- Current National Police Clearance (obtained within the last 12 months)
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID 003)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check

**Other Preferable Skills (Not Required)**
- The ability to speak Arabic, Assyrian or Italian
- Experience working directly with people with disabilities.

- Preferable 6+ months of experience in the field of disability support (but not needed)

Licence/Certification:

- Working with Children Check (Required, or willing to obtain one)
- Australian driver's licence (required)
- First Aid & CPR Certificate (required)
- Australian National Police Check (Required, or willing to obtain one)
