The role
Reporting to the Team Leader, Communications and Partnerships Unit, within the Strategic Communications Branch you will be responsible for providing support on the development and delivery of communication and engagement strategies and activities targeting First Nations people and communities. You will also be responsible for effectively maintaining strategic relationships and partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders such as the Office of the Chief First Nations Officer, First Nations hospital and health services network, and other key representative community groups and organisations.

Furthermore, you will be responsible for transforming complex written information into easily consumed and culturally appropriate and safe content for First Nationsaudiences and channels and overseeing the preparation, production and distribution of communication collateral and tools.

The successful person
To be successful in the role, you will have demonstrated experience with assisting or leading the preparation and implementation of communication and engagement strategies. You will also have highly developed writing and editorial skills with demonstrated experience copywriting content for multi-channel communication campaigns and initiatives.

In addition to this you will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
