**ABOUT THE ROLE**

The Contract Manager is part of a broader readiness team managing the transition of the Operational and Control Management Systems (OCMS) and new signalling technology components of the Metro Tunnel Project into MTM’s rail services operation.

The role of the Contract Manager is to operationalise technology maintenance agreements as part of the Melbourne Metro Tunnel Project. This position will lead the change management of the downstream contract updates required to support the new and updated technologies.

The Contract Manager will develop operational policies and procedures for contract obligations and deliverables. The policies and procedures will be designed to support Metro’s operational performance obligations.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Responsible for the relationship and management of major vendors and the supporting contract arrangements.
- Operationalise technology maintenance agreements as part of the Melbourne Metro Tunnel Project into MTM’s operational environment.
- Work as the Readiness Team’s interface into MTM’s operational and governance requirements.
- Coordinate the Metro Tunnel Project’s governance submission into the MTM governance processes
- Oversee the contracted requirements for quality and conformance.
- Monitor and report cost and performance against contract plans and schedules and negotiate effective remedial action as required.
- Engage key stakeholders across the team, division and broader organisation ensuring that beneficial relationships are developed and maintained.
- Engage with team members to support the MTM strategic plan and business objectives; enabling resourcing, performance, capability and wellbeing to foster a high-performance team.

**ABOUT YOU**
- Must have practical experience in contract process analysis and business process development, plus a commercial or financial qualification would be advantageous
- Commercial contract management experience of a large and complex nature
- Deliverables and process oriented, with demonstrated change management skills
- Experience with technology contracts and technical service delivery
- Able to manage multiple subcontractor dependencies into a complex environment
