Key Responsibilities- Oversee the entire bid process from decision to bid through to contract award
- Develop value propositions, strategies, and solutions for competitive bids
- Review and analyse contracts and tender documents for compliance and alignment with industry standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information for bid submissions
- Manage a team of Bid Engineers to prepare winning bids for new work
- Ensure transparent communication with clients regarding contract and tender inquiries
We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive professional with a strong understanding of Defence industry standards and contract management. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in generating winning bids and proposals, along with exceptional analytical skills and the ability to communicate compliance and concessions effectively. You should be adept at working under pressure, meeting challenging deadlines, and collaborating across departments to manage multiple priorities effectively within a project-based environment.
Position Requirements- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience in contract management, bid preparation, and procurement processes within the defence manufacturing sector
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a good understanding of defence industry regulations
- Project Management certification or relevant qualification
- Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Must be an Australian citizen and eligible for NV1 Defence Security Clearance. EAR/ITAR compliance required.
- Knowledge of AS9100 and ISO9001 standards is preferable
- Experience in leading bid submissions for B-2-B and government tenders
- Management and commercial experience in bids or projects in an electronics/manufacturing/assembly environment, preferably in Defence and Aerospace.
