For three generations the Taylor family has crafted great wines in South Australia’s picturesque Clare Valley. A proud and founding member of Australia’s First Families of Wine and with strong domestic and export sales, the business is poised for even greater achievements in the years ahead.

This unique opportunity within this established and respected industry icon arises following several successful years from the incumbent. The Operations Manager reports to the Clare based General Manager and is responsible for packaging operations in a state-of-the-art bottling facility. The broad ranging accountabilities of this pivotal role include production scheduling, bottling line operation, cost and stock control and oversight of supplier contracts and label artwork with a strong focus on maximum efficiency, best practice and continuous improvement. Also vitally important will be leadership and development of the small dedicated production and maintenance team. The successful appointee will also play a vital role in new product development.

Applications are invited from experienced manufacturing professionals preferably with exposure to a food safety certified environment. Excellent leadership, relationship management, change management and negotiation skills will be paramount along with commercial acumen and a strong commitment to process improvement and customer service. Experience with lean manufacturing principles, wine or beverage industry experience and/or tertiary qualifications in an engineering or related discipline will naturally be an advantage.
