Local council looking for a Place Manager to assist with landscape and urban planning for capital works.

**Your new company**

Our client is a local council based in south Brisbane that provides a number of products and services to assist in the building and maintenance of council owned facilities such as community and activity centres. Due to an increase in workload, they are looking to add a Place Manager to their architecture team to assist with planning and design works within the local area.

**Your new role**

As the Place Manager, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating capital works projects and programs in regards to urban design outcomes. This includes implementing project plans, coordinating with property owners to facilitate investment opportunities, and developing and maintain stakeholder relationships. Additionally, you will provide expert advice on all matter regarding urban design, urban renewal, and economic development on behalf of the council

**What you'll need to succeed**

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate a strong understand of landscape architecture, planning and design within the public sector. Therefore, you will come from a background in architecture, with a tertiary qualification in landscape architecture or urban planning. You will also have an understanding of legislative and regulatory frameworks and government policies applicable to public sector building and architecture projects in Brisbane. Given this role includes architectural documentation, previous experience using Revit and AutoCAD for conceptual drafting would also be beneficial.

**What you'll get in return**

You will be offered an immediate start in an initial 3 month contracted/casual role within a local council based in south Brisbane, with potential for extension. You will be offered a full-time temporary position paying $61.83 - $65.77 + super dependent on experience.
