**About the Role**

Accountable for developing, leading and managing the design, implementation and embedment of major Transformation initiatives within Workers Compensation, including business benefits realisation.

A member of the Workers Compensation Leadership Team (WCLT) - challenging and guiding the WCLT on Transformation considerations, performance, resourcing and general decision making.

Establish strong stakeholder relationships, use exceptional negotiation and influencing skills to bring together key stakeholders from within and outside the organisation to develop and deliver enterprise level solutions and outcomes.

**Duties**

It’s an exciting time at icare where no two days are the same; as a **General Manager Workers Compensation Transformation **you will:

- Work with the WCLT to align Transformation activities to WC / icare Strategies as well as sequencing / planning of resourcing across a 3-year delivery horizon
- Work with the Group Executive, Business Owners, and WC Transformation executive steering committee to evaluate designs, formulate the solution, and develop the roadmap to deliver the strategic outcome with optimal efficiency. Understand the implications of different choices and guide internal stakeholders to the solution. Including key dependencies, major risks and selected other BAU initiatives that may impact successful program execution.
- Be accountable and provide leadership and guidance across multiple WC Transformation initiatives (including TMF WC Transformation, CPU, Cloud, Data Migration), potentially including major BAU priorities.
- Lead the development and identification of the benefits from the strategic program, and structure and align the underlying projects and program to ensure clear and aligned objectives which lead directly to the realisation of the business benefits.
- Develop integrated governance routines for the entire strategic program, inclusive of decision making, risk and issue resolution, and reporting through to the Group Executive Team (GET) and icare Board.
- Represent Workers Compensation in consideration of the strategic aspects of technology engagements relating to Workers Compensation (in partnership with Digital & Technology), helping to ensure capability build, competitive procurement, negotiation, quality assurance, strong execution and compliance.
- Identify, respond and manage all associated risks, assumptions and issues across the Transformation Program.
- Develop and provide regular communication and engagement with business leaders, GET and icare Board. Report on progress and provide senior level resolution to allow potential variations to be promptly addressed and solved. Maintain stakeholder confidence through robust and disciplined project management, adherence to budget, and delivery of enterprise solutions.

**Skills & Experience**
- Extensive general strategic and operational business leadership experience
- Demonstrable experience in major business Transformation and complex execution including delivering clear outcomes
- Transformation and program planning experience combined with portfolio management of programs.
- Strong understanding and experience in Personal Injury and/or General Insurance
- Demonstrated expertise in managing key stakeholders (internal and external) in a complex delivery environment.
- Familiarity with Workers Compensation strategy and programs, core systems, products and processes
- Familiarity with agile ways of working
