**D'Arcy Weil is representing a renowned leader in the energy industry, is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Analyst - Energy Forecasting to join their dynamic team.**

This position presents an exciting opportunity with our client to contribute to the ongoing improvement of their forecasting and influence key decision-making processes.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct in-depth analysis of historical energy consumption patterns and market trends to identify patterns and correlations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and integrate data from various sources, such as power stations, weather forecasts, economic indicators, and energy demand drivers.
- Develop, calibrate, and maintain energy forecasting models using statistical and machine learning techniques.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of forecasting models, making necessary adjustments to improve accuracy and reliability.
- Assist in the development and implementation of data quality checks to ensure the integrity of forecasting inputs and outputs.
- Produce regular reports and insights on energy demand and supply projections, contributing to strategic decision-making and market assessments.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders, including energy providers, government agencies, and research institutions, to exchange knowledge and improve industry forecasting practices.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience (5+ years) as a Data Analyst or similar role, preferably in the energy sector or related industries.
- Strong proficiency in data manipulation, cleaning, and analysis using programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
- Hands-on experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to present insights in a clear and compelling manner.
- Solid understanding of statistical methods, time-series analysis, and machine learning techniques for forecasting.
- Familiarity with energy market fundamentals and electricity demand/supply dynamics is desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to work with large and complex datasets, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for process improvement.
