**The Role**

You will be responsible for leading a small IT team reporting to the COO driving culture and continuous improvement while assessing and suggesting ways in which improvements can be made within the day-to-day IT operations. You will set targets for internal staff and focus on performance management while fostering a learning environment and ensuring staff feel comfortable to provide suggestions and follow through ideas.

**Key Responsibilities include**:
**Strategy**
- Manage and refine the ICT Strategy, Architectural direction, and Services definition across the organisation
- Establish an IT framework that can keep up with projected growth of the company and respond to changes in service and delivery requirements
- Create and implement strong strategic directions for optimal use of all technical platforms, both outward facing and back-end systems such as Salesforce and the Learning Management System etc. in conjunction with the Digital Manager
- Oversee infrastructure as a service (IAAS) and cloud migration strategies
- Establish fit for purpose controls
- Provide Business Analysis and Business Intelligence support to the organisation

**Leadership**
- Lead relevant ICT projects and support other ICT implementation programs from a technical perspective
- Provide briefings to the Executive and Senior Leadership Group, advising on implementation of ICT strategic projects, ICT planning and emerging technologies
- Collaborate with colleagues and external stakeholders to meet the ADF's objectives
- Evaluate staff performance and the performance of the area against set accountabilities and agreed outcomes and provide regular feedback
- Manage, develop, and motivate ICT team members, allocating and delegating work and effectively managing their performance and development
- Role model behaviours that support People Leader objectives and the companies values
- Commit to your own self-development to continuously develop as a more effective leader

**Management of ICT Operations**
- Ensure all systems are reliable and available within the operational requirements, managing ICT-related projects and maintenance schedules
- Continuously engage with the business to identify areas for improvement, assess solutions and recommend new approaches
- Oversee Salesforce support, maintenance and troubleshooting activities and ensure proficiency of use to maximise system capability
- Coordinate the process for the selection of suppliers, tendering and procurement
- Prepare systems cost estimates and cost-benefit analysis, conduct supplier analysis, and assess effectiveness across the supply chain
- Negotiate and manage contracts, service level agreements and related activities to ensure a high level of ICT services are delivered
- Manage relationships with key external systems vendors

**Skills and Knowledge**
- Minimum of five years' experience in ICT Operations Management with extensive people management experience
- Experience of managing Salesforce environments
- A solid knowledge of Salesforce, MS365, SharePoint and supporting platforms
- Strong ICT Strategic focus with experience of implementing and managing technological solutions across entire organisations
- Proven track record in providing innovative solutions and managing projects
- Strong Vendor Management experience
- Experience Managing Cloud based technologies
- Experience in capturing and documenting business requirements, working with users to identify requirements and developing the business case to source solutions
- Sound written and verbal communication skills (including public speaking, presentations, and facilitation skills) with the ability to communicate effectively and accurately to a broad range of audiences
- Strong focus on continuous improvement opportunities
- Experience in managing small, multi-disciplinary teams
