Australian Financial News (AFN) is a bilingual (English & Chinese) online media platform delivering timely coverage of business, finance, investment, and Australia-China relations. With a growing audience across digital platforms, AFN is launching a new business section to bring financial and everyday news to life through engaging multimedia content. This initiative will include both short
- and long-form video productions, covering breaking news, global financial trends, interviews with industry leaders, and stories that connect everyday people to the business world.

**About The Role**
We are seeking a talented and creative Video Producer to join our team. This role is central to shaping AFN’s video content strategy and producing high-quality, informative, and engaging videos for our audience. You will work closely with our editorial team to bring financial and business stories to life through dynamic visual storytelling.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Oversee the full video production cycle from concept development through to post-production and distribution.
- Select and develop scripts, storylines, or source material for video projects.
- Recruit and collaborate with directors, presenters, and other key creative staff.
- Manage budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure projects are delivered efficiently.
- Supervise on-set production activities and resolve any issues that arise.
- Plan and implement distribution and marketing strategies for finished productions.
- Develop corporate video content for clients as required.
- Identify and pursue new opportunities to expand AFN’s video portfolio.

**About You**
- Demonstrated experience in video production, preferably within news, financial media, or current affairs.
- Strong editorial judgment and storytelling skills.
- Proficiency in production equipment and video editing software.
- Excellent project management and organisational abilities.
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of digital distribution platforms and marketing strategies is an advantage.
- Passion for business, news, and Australian culture.
