Finance and Investment (FID) is a trusted advisor to the Transport cluster, and partners with our stakeholders to make all financial and funding considerations for our once-in-a-generation $71.5 billion infrastructure program.

We provide best in class financial services to support decision-making on transport services, infrastructure investment and delivery. GFI plays a critical role in project planning and funding, enterprise planning and financial management and control.

**The opportunity**

Right now we have an exciting opportunity for a Manager, Benefits Realisation Management to join our team. This role partners with stakeholders across the business to drive both best practice and compliance of the implementation of effective benefits realisation management and evaluation techniques, standards and practices.

This includes providing comprehensive and practical solutions to project and program teams throughout the investment lifecycle to ensure that benefits are identified, quantified, assured, tracked and evaluated in line with best practice and government policies and procedures. This role plays a critical part in the delivery of transport services and infrastructure that results in tangible outcomes for the people of NSW.

The role operates with a high level of autonomy, and your ability to build trust and partner closely with internal and external stakeholders will be critical to your success.

**Key accountabilities**:

- Contribute to the development and refinement of the Benefit Realisation Management and Evaluation Framework and Guidelines, to ensure that it remains aligned to support the delivery of Transport’s capital infrastructure, technology and recurrent pipelines
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure that benefits are clearly captured at the commencement of project lifecycle, clear benefits management strategies are developed and recorded, and that the methods and metrics for reporting realization are established through the project lifecycle in advance of benefits realisation reviews and evaluations processes
- Assure that benefits realisation management and evaluation requirements have been met as an investment progresses through the lifecycle, including coordination of external reviews with Infrastructure NSW (INSW), Department of Customer Service (DCS) and NSW Treasury.
- Provide advisory support and guidance to transport teams to assess the impact on benefits of variations and ensure there are mechanisms in place to track the realisation of benefits, both planned and unplanned, as they arise through the program and project lifecycle
- Ensure that tracking mechanisms and benefit realisation and evaluation procedures are in place that establish the links between project delivery to benefits realisation and supports project evaluation to ensure that the Transport cluster meets NSW government requirements, develops and maintain effective internal and external stakeholder relationships and undertake key transport reporting processes.
