**About the organisation**:
Canteen supports youth affected by cancer, their key demographics being 12 - 25-year-olds who are dealing with their own diagnosis, close family members affected by cancer, or having lost a loved one due to cancer. This support also now extends to parents.

You will be working with a highly motivated and supportive team which encourages every team member to succeed in performing meaningful work, creating positive outcomes for youth and their families.

As part of the Supporter Care team, you will be responsible for maintaining high-quality relationships with Canteen’s supporters and fundraisers to ensure a strong consistent revenue stream and effective retention for donors and supporters.

This is a fast-paced, busy, but teamwork orientated environment. You will be based on the phone 100% of the time so will likely come from a call entre or face-to-face sales background and enjoy speaking to people from all walks of life, ages, and stages. You will have an outgoing personality and be motivated by securing donations and using your strong communication and influencing skills to retain loyal donors for the long-term.

This role involves both inbound and outbound calls, but the focus is on outbound work, so you will be confident reaching out to supporters via the phone and enjoy meaningful conversations about a serious cause and have a genuine passion for Canteen and the work that they do.

**What to expect on the job**:

- You will enjoy exploring multiple options with supporters & fundraisers (schools) to encourage good retention rates
- You will be confident making reactivation and upgrade calls to supporters & fundraisers
- You will like the thrill of working to and achieving your call targets
- You will like working to team goals for flagship campaigns e.g. National Bandana Day and other giving days
- You will be confident dealing with complaints and cancelations, ensuring good retention rates
- You will be computer literate and confident working on a database and processing donations

**Experience & Attributes Required**:

- 1-year minimum experience within a Call Centre environment or face to face sales
- A mixture of outbound and inbound customer service and/or sales experience
- Engaging and empathetic personality
- Experience working with databases and accurate data entry
- Motivated and resilient and the ability to get things done
- Team player who has a good sense of humour and “bounce-back” ability
