**About the role**
Davies Collison Cave (DCC) is now recruiting for a Renewals assistant within the Renewals Team. In this role, you will provide administrative support to the Renewals Coordinator and provide crucial support in preparing and managing renewals submissions across Patents, Trademarks and Designs. This role contributes to a seamless renewals process by liaising with both internal colleagues and external clients/agents, ensuring deadlines and compliance standards are consistently met.
There are two parts to this role:
Supporting the renewals team with the renewals process.Key areas of responsibilities
- Interpret, confirm and act on instructions received externally from clients, associates, renewals agents, and internally from Operators as directed.
- Assist with general administrative tasks related to IP portfolio management, as directed.
- Preparation of Patent, Trade Mark and Design renewal submissions and payments.
- Scrutiny and preparation of renewal schedules and invoices for clients detailing renewal deadlines, fees and services charges.
- Attend to renewals-related tasks such as sending reminders, reporting, billing and providing quotes as directed.
- Ensure accurate documentation of renewal processes.
- Collaborate with the wider Administration Team and other parts of the business to ensure a seamless renewals process.
- Develop a strong understanding of DCC's renewal service.
- Adhere to the firm's standard operating procedures and quality control measures.
**About You**
- Excellent organisational skills and proven ability to meet critical deadlines.
- Adaptable and willing to assist across the function.
- Team oriented with a positive and flexible mindset.
- Experience as an assistant working within an IP firm or legal environment, is preferable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Exposure to records, administrative and data entry management systems. Inprotech knowledge an advantage.
- Working knowledge and sound understanding of MS Windows, Outlook, Word & Excel.
- Committed to continuous improvement and quality assurance.
- Commitment to always providing high-quality client service.
- Maintains a professional, client focused approach.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
