Quality Support Officer

With your can-do attitude, you will be responsible for the direct care of our residents ensuring they are able to "Live Life to the Full" in our home-like environment. - The position will be based on site at the Epping Head office, will require some travel to the regions where there is an upcoming accreditation at a facility, this position will have a base salary + either a car allowance or travel allowance + super + NFP benefits. **What this position entails**: - This position will support and monitor the maintenance of high-quality clinical governance standards within care services and provide guidance and support, so services have robust clinical governance processes. - The position will monitor and report on compliance with SCC police and procedures, relevant standards and legislation and accepted industry practice to identify system improvement opportunities, potential skill gaps and contribute to the development of policies and procedures. - Provide support for clinical information systems and clinical projects **Selection Criteria** - Current Authority to practice a Registered Nurse (Division 1) or Enrolled Nurse General with the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency - Current Drivers Licence - Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development - Minimum of three years post registration clinical experience - Evaluating workplace practices against accreditation standards, quality systems and organisation policies and procedures - Developing, implementing, monitoring and continuous improvement of quality systems - Excellent oral communication skills, including ability to liase at all levels within the facility/ service and work as part of a team - Effective report writing skills - Well - developed analytical, reflective and systems thinking and problem solving skills. - Effective time management and prioritisation skills **Selection Criteria** **Essential** - Current Authority to practice a Registered Nurse (Division 1) or Enrolled Nurse General with the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency - Current Drivers Licence - Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development - Minimum of three years post registration clinical experience - Evaluating workplace practices against accreditation standards, quality systems and organisation policies and procedures - Developing, implementing, monitoring and continuous improvement of quality systems - Excellent oral communication skills, including ability to liase at all levels within the facility/ service and work as part of a team - Effective report writing skills - Well-developed analytical, reflective and systems thinking and problem-solving skills. - Effective time management and prioritisation skills **Desirable** - Post graduate qualification in Aged care, Pallitative care or mental health **About Southern Cross Care (NSW & ACT)** - We are a not-for-profit organisation with a mission to empower older people to ‘live life to the full’.
