**Position Overview**
This role is distinct from learning and development roles held within our People and Culture team and, under limited direction, has a focus on the development and delivery of a national learning and development program covering operational process and procedure and the creation of related content.
This role reports to Manager Knowledge and Training and sits within the Knowledge, and Training team working broadly to the Executive Director Courts and Tribunal Services. The Training Team Leader is required to work with limited supervision and has responsibility for the management of a small nationally dispersed team creating and delivering training and learning content.
This role requires strong work history or formal qualifications covering the design, delivery and maintenance of learning programs with a focus on adult learning and training.
**Key Responsibilities and Duties**
Under the direction of the Manager of Court Services - Knowledge & Training:
- Build strong relationships, collaborate and communicate with key stakeholders, people leaders and colleagues across a range of teams and jurisdictions to inform content development and the prioritisation and focus of identified learning requirements.
- Prepare learning solutions including detailed learning objectives, content and evaluation strategies This includes creating and writing content and the development of final materials for training and coaching delivery as well as directing the activities of a team of staff assisting with these duties.
- Develop and maintain the training and development knowledge base and utilise this to design, deliver and evaluate learning and development solutions across multiple platforms including face to face and face to screen at a minimum.
- Collect, evaluate, and report on the effectiveness of training delivery to improve service delivery standards, performance and outcomes across Courts and Tribunal Services broadly and the Training Team specifically.
- Create, review and adapt training materials to ensure best practice learning and development principles and methodologies are adopted with a focus on adult learning techniques and strategies.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive, in-depth and accurate knowledge and expertise in the Court’s case management systems, business and organisational processes and change.
- Work with limited direction to lead and supervise a team both onsite and dispersed, to provide high quality learning and development solutions to court staff. This includes monitoring service levels, staffing allocations, managing workflows and tasks and allocating resources across areas of responsibility.
- Promote continuous improvement and identify areas of innovation, process improvement and efficiency
**Selection Criteria**
- Demonstrated understanding of the functions of the Courts including relevant legislation, policy, case management systems and business processes; or the ability to quickly acquire this knowledge.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships and collaborate with multiple stakeholder groups. This includes strong interpersonal and communication skills at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to provide high level advice and maintain current ‘best practice’ knowledge in the area of learning and development.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret policy, process and legislation to prepare content for a national or team knowledge base and associated training.
- Demonstrated experience in the planning and coordination of projects and successful delivery of programs with a specific focus on learning and development. This includes the ability to create and review training materials including online and blended learning solutions.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills and the ability to facilitate group discussions and deliver professional training and development presentations when required.
- Ability to lead and coach a team including supervision, coordination, leadership, staff and performance development, and the measurement and assessment of quality/performance metrics related to the work of a team.
- Demonstrated sound organisational and problem-solving skills, including working with limited supervision to proactively identify and resolve issues, the ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure.

- National Police Check - the successful applicant must satisfy a Police Records Check, and may also be required to complete security clearances during the course of their employment;
- Health clearance - the successful applicant will be required to complete a health declaration and may be required to attend a medical assessment to confirm their fitness for duty.
