**Your role**:
This role will be responsible for preparing Kinship Part B comprehensive assessments and providing support to kinship placements within the Kinship Care First Supports program. You will assess and provide family services support to newly established carers, children and young people to promote stability, safety and developmental needs. The position is also responsible for providing a case management service for children and young people residing in kinship care. The role provides longer term support for children and young people in statutory kinship care placements, aimed at enhancing the child/ren’s development and family functioning whilst ensuring stability and safety of all family members.
**Make your mark**:
- Experience managing risk and wellbeing and work within the Best Interest Framework.
- An understanding of how trauma can affect the development of young people.
- Assessment skills.
- Report writing.
- Experience in child, youth and family welfare, with particular experience in Out of Home Care is highly desired.
- Skills and experience in the support and supervision of carers is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in case management.
- An understanding of, and capacity to act accordingly to the principles and intent of the Children, Youth & Families Act 2005
**Make it work**:
- A salary at SCHCADS level 5 which equates to around $100,776 plus super.
- Flexible through the increments up to 5.3 (dependent upon experience).
- Full time hours. Fixed term to 30 Jan 2026.
