- About the role:
This position will be responsible for working within a new model of Kinship Care (First Supports) available to new statutory kinship care placements expected to last longer than 3 months. In conjunction with providing Case contracting support to long time placements identified by Child Protection.
- Completion of comprehensive carer and placement assessments.
- To identify and address risk and safety factors within the kinship household.
- Work in partnership with Child Protection making informed decisions about strengths and areas for growth within the placement to enhance the best outcomes for the child.
- To identify and coordinate necessary supports to enable the success of the placement.

**THE IDEAL CANDIDATE** - what you will bring;
- Demonstrated understanding of Child Protection matters and legislation relevant to the Care Services space, specifically Kinship Care.
- Knowledge and understanding of issues surrounding the care services and family services system.
- Demonstrated understanding of trauma informed practice and how this applies specifically to children, youth and families involved in kinship care
- Valid Victorian Driver's Licence |Working with Children Check |Police Check |Psychometric Testing.
- Minimum requirement of Diploma of Community Services or other relevant tertiary qualifications and/or experience related to this position.
